Raw, rugged and real is the only way to describe Donald Lewis Gatecrash. It is a comic/tragic drama set in Brixton. The action revolves around a posse of four friends who have grown up in the predominantly Jamaican black community. Crusher, buff, puss and preassurefoot are streetwise, macho, cool and clannish. They meet and socialise within a wider social group at the local community centre and are in the match, however are but the backdrop against which the main story is told. It is a story of love, jealousy and revenge. When the fearless four cons their way into a birthday party and crusher dances too closely with the girl, rosemary, whispering in her ear, her man slick is not too pleased. A chain of events are set in motion with serious repercussions for the main protagonist. We learn a lot about the twist and turns of their lives. Dreaded yardies become involved. Drugs and guns are in the background. There are other stories being told at the same time. Puss is being hunted by crazy dreadlocks, pressurefoot's secret is revealed and he makes a startling discovery about himself.
