God's Not Fooled

God alone is worthy of our worship, love, and obedient faith, Jesus Himself put this in strong, plain words for us in John's Gospel where, in chapter 14 verse 23 He said, "If anyone loves me he will keep my word." This book is a message from God's Word on this crucial biblical theme: the genuineness of professed faith in Jesus Christ. As the apostle James forcefully declares, true faith, "saving" faith, in Christ is obedient faith shown by deeds of obedience to God's Word. My wife and I are missionaries with Cadence International, a Christian ministry dedicated to bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ and hospitality-based discipleship to members of the armed forces and their families. We have served with Cadence for 54 years, and during this time we have lived and ministered in six countries. Our ministries have included hospitality-centered discipleship, evangelism via walk-in servicemen's centers, Bible centered retreats, pastoral care of NATO and JUSMAG chapel fellowships, and Field Leadership for the mission.
