Martin Family

This word search is a tribute to my maternal family, the Martin Family of Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. However, YOU do not have to be a member of the Martin family to find the words that have been hidden. This word search is a labor of love that I wanted to share with my family, as well as others. The Martin family of Muhlenberg County, Kentucky have a deep and lasting legacy that has endured for eight generations, and hopefully for many more! I have tremendous family pride, even though we, individually and collectively, are far from perfect. I wanted to do something different that would hopefully rekindle the family pride, and so I decided to embark on the creation of a word search and crossword puzzle book. Finding the software to create the word search was easier and because I knew that I was pressed for time (I had had hoped to have it finished before Uncle Howitt passed), I decided to split them into two different books. Uncle Howitt used to beam everytime time he stepped out of his truck onto Martin Acres, I could see and sense the joy/jubilation he felt at our beloved Martin Acres (home of the Martin family of Muhlenberg County, Kentucky). This book covers some highlights from Historical Perspective of the Martin Clan: Commemorating 45 Years. In going back through highlights of those 45 years of family reunions, I re-membered reunions of the past and better understood some things from my childhood. I am not going to write anything else about the Martin family, as the publications that have been written say a lot more than I ever could.
