A Book Reader's Journey

Arman is a young orphan living in the middle of war-torn Kabul. He is ill-treated by the family he lives with but finds solace in his best friend Jamal and his love of reading. After a tragic occurrence, he is forced to leave Kabul and make an extraordinary journey over land and water in an attempt to reach the safety of London. With Jamal and his two brothers, Zain and Wali, he encounters pain, love and significant danger as he moves from country to country. Through his reading and his many encounters along the way, he learns to live with the past, the present and the future, as well as the biggest tragedy of all; the loss of a loved one.
