Computerized Local Anesthesia Delivery: Assessment of Pain Behavior in Clad Delivery During Two Sequential Dental Visits in Different Age Groups

Pain control is an important part of dentistry and particularly for pediatric patients. Administering local anesthetic injection may not only provoke anxiety in patients, but also in dentists. A search of the pediatric dental literature for techniques to make injections less painful has not produced any research that has comprehensively evaluated the relationship between injection pain and dental anxiety. However, there is a constant search for ways to avoid invasive and often painful nature of the injection, and to find a more comfortable and pleasant means of producing local anesthesia before dental procedures. The purpose of this study is to compare and assess the pain behavior in children receiving computerized local anesthesia Nerve block and Intra-ligamentary injections during two sequential dental visits in different age groups.
