The inspiration for writing this book came from my first sales trainer, Sam Schneid, from Pitney Bowes. He taught me how to cope and always stay levelheaded. No huge highs and no huge lows. Sam always told me to do my very best and that would always be enough. Don't look back at any failures, unless it's to learn from them. As the old saying goes, if at first you don't succeed - try, try again. I always told my sales staff that being in the top 5 would always be enough to earn a very nice living. The other nice thing about not being #1 is that the spotlight is not on you so you can carry on at your own pace and remain a top producer while earning a lot of money. Always work hard, but also try to work smart. Those are the people that are most successful. Utilize your time well because time is the only thing that you can never get back.
