Five Historical Terrors Persian edition

Mohammad Mossadeq in compliance with a secret agreement with the then prime minister, Qavam al-Sultaneh, in exchange of electing his two sons- in- laws, Dr. Ahmad Matin-daftari and Ezattollah Bayat, as members of the 15th National Consultative Assembly, pledged to seclude himself from politics and live in Ahmadabad village, his own property, for, at least, two years (during the remaining period of Parliament session). During the period of this seclusion, he, who was not so much popular at that time, became almost forgotten in people's mind. However, from February 12th, 1948 up to March 7th, 1951, (that is within a period of three years and twenty-four days), five historical assassinations (or assassination attempts) were committed in Tehran, which not only brought him back to Iran's political scene, but each one was also used by him as a fundamental step to climb up the ladder of political power and influence and finally brought him to power as prime minister.
