Ms. Downing wrote "Welcome To My Home - The Shortgrass Prairie" to inspire young learners to use their senses and try to move like the animals they are learning about who live on the Shortgrass Prairie.




We all know how restless young children can become in the classroom, and now as teachers struggle to keep their students engaged, including over the internet, this book entertains and motivates young students to listen, move, and learn about the plants and animals who live together on the short grass prairie in North America.
