Joshua, born and raised in the Appalacian mountains finds his first love in a one room school house. Soon after, raw, naked rage goads Joshua into a chilling and bizarre double murder in the church at Jerrico Springs. Joshua must flee his beloved mountains. Thirty years later, Joshua is a brilliant research professor at a renowned University. There he encounters Samanthe, an astonishingly intelligent but twisted doctoral student in his program. Because of a series of inexplicable behaviors, Samanthe is summarily dismissed from her doctoral program. Simultaneously, Joshua and Jennifer, whom he passionately loves, leave for an extended sabbatical in Boulder, Co. From the moment they begin their journey, Samanthe stalks them. After a succession of life-threatening events, including the kidnapping of Jennifer, Joshua must return to the church at Jerrico Springs. There, he confronts his past and yet another murder, as he is forced to face the wrath and fury of a demented Samanthe.
