Andy Meltan, a gifted, nationally renowned author and consultant, enjoys a luxurious life with his wife and daughter in Solana Beach, California. He appears to have it all but is beleaguered by The B. F.-The Bad Feelings-that haunt him from childhood. Growing up in poverty in DuVal, New York, Andy and his alter ego now coexist with memories of The Event, a brutal teenage attack seventeen years ago that is still so disturbing: at times, Andy can barely function physically or emotionally.
