Secrets of Taleghani's Death (Volume 1) (Persian Edition) Persian edition

?Since the establishment of the Islamic Republic in Iran, Ayatollah Taleghani was on the opinion that all cities and provinces of Iran should be run by the elective local councils. He, who had completely under his control the powerful armed Islamic Revolution?s Mujahidins and was more and less supported by most separatist and leftist groups, strived hard from a powerful stand to prevent the approval of ?Velayate Faghih?, the Article concerning the absolute power of religious supreme leader, by the Council Deliberating on the Draft Constitution (?CDDC?). Confirming Ayatollah Taleghani?s stand, CDDC , on 9 September 1979 (18 Shahrivar 1358 on Iranian Calendar), eventually voted against and rejected ?Velayate Faghih?. In order to have approved that article, it became inevitable, for Khomeini, to eliminate Taleghani. He died suspiciously on the same night. At the first session of CDDC, convened after Taleghani?s death, the same rejected article concerning Velayate Faghih, with some trivial changes, was brought again to CDDC?s agenda and was approved.
