Bridging the Gap - A Father's Love is an enlightening tale of two strangers from different centuries coming together in unforeseen circumstances that only the Creator of the Universe can orchestrate. Despite their cultural differences, beliefs and experiences of their time, Bree Carter and Jinni Hannigan form a powerful bond that takes them on a winding journey of growth, friendship and severe change that bridges the gap to a Father's unconditional love. The reader may find their own spiritual beliefs and human reasoning challenged.
Bridging the Gap - A Father's Love came to me one night in a dream, like a movie deep beneath my eyelids, where Jinni was created. When I awoke, I did not want the story to end. So, with Catherine Cookson's novels influencing my writing style and my own sense of humour inherited by my father, I typed the story line out. Funnily enough, as I kept typing, fusions of my own heartache in my youth were divinely woven into the script.
In life, we all have a story. Our own narratives are influenced by many factors. Especially during our youth as we search for meaning in our lives. It is during this time, we often find ourselves experimenting for the first time with 'adult concepts' such as sex, drugs and dare I say it - rock 'n' roll! For being young, we often think we are invincible, living a life for personal gratification. And sometimes as we get older, we reflect on the trail we have left behind.
This story may challenge the reader's spiritual being in ways they may be confronted with making that decision of change that plants that seed of one day crossing that Divine Bridge of Redemption, which closes the gap of their past and eternally connects them to their Maker - their Heavenly Father's love.
