Democracy in a Depression: Britain in the 1920s and 1930s - The Past in Perspective

This study re-examines the inter-war period in Britain and casts light on an era of British history which has been considered by some historians as a period of "failure". It assesses previous historical writings and explores the structural problems of the British economy, society and politics.
