Sleepy Lakehurst village is abuzz at the arrival of Gerry Harlington, an American actor and new owner of Abbot's Manor. The local dramatic society recruits him as their director, but his new ideas are met with violent protest from the amateur actors. So when a corpse is found on opening night, Rev.
