Prissy Duponce

Peter Long-Smith has been seconded to the committee for his companies end-of-year staff function. The husband of one of his colleagues had come home from his work event espousing the virtues of the drag act they had for their entertainment. His colleagues became excited and, knowing Peter was gay, asked him to search out a similar act for their function. Peter challenged them as to why and for it not to be a fethe4r in their corporate cap. He challenged them to actually see one for themselves, which they did - much to Peter's surprise and pleasure. Having agreed to secure a drag act, Peter began to make contacts. By the end of June, five month before the function, everyone had declined. In an act of rashness, Peter decided to create his own drag queen. Days and weeks of make-up, rehearsal, costume fitting and debut performances, Peter's drag queen was born. The staff function came and went but the roller coaster ride known as Prissy DuPonce gathered speed. Prior to the staff function, back up performers were added. As the following year progressed, Peter, along with his partner Alex Long-Smith, purchased a hotel, fostered a 15 year old boy and bought a building they turned into a performance club.
