"For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope." Romans 15:4 King James Version
Volume 1 of The Trail of the Seed of the Woman ended with Abraham trusting fully in God's word. Isaac was spared. Volume 2 picks up the story with Isaac, through God, fathering twin sons, Esau and Jacob. In a twist that only God could orchestrate, Jacob, the younger twin, receives the Blessing that ensures his line is the one from which the "Seed of the Woman," Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior will come. His is the nation of Israel.
This volume studies chapters 23 through 50. An exciting story full of suspense, from Jacob's challenges to Joseph's betrayal by his brothers' hatred and his ultimate forgiveness, it shows man's faith in God's promise, as well as his sin. By God's grace alone is man saved. His-Story unfolds precisely as He intended; foretelling the events that will come to pass in the New Testament.
Like many stories written long ago, Genesis is not always easy to understand. Mike Potts describes himself as an Ol' Mountain Man turned preacher. He has spent years studying the meaning behind each of the stories in Genesis. He has translated them for the common man to read. Volumes 1 and 2 of The Trail of the Seed of the Woman are perfect for individual or group study. Included throughout the book are probing questions for discussion to help you gain unique insights into the power of God.
