David's Prayers

The Psalms are more than simple songs and prayers made by a man completely devoted to his Creator, they help us to understand what kind of relationship there must be between us and our God. With greater reverence, faithfulness, awe and gratitude than we have done so far. Being "a man after God's own heart" is no easy task, as being pleasing to his perfect and holy eyes is almost impossible, but David did it. And if he has reached that level of communion with the Creator proves that he, the Lord, is not looking for our perfection, but for our unconditional obedience, our dedication and humiliation, he wants us to live to offer him complete worship. We therefore learn how to serve him in spirit and truth (John 4:23)
