Vengeance's Fire - Treborel

A Paranormal Suspense deep inside the Savage Treborelan Mountains! Kendra discovers the mountains hold a horrifying secret which could lead to the end of the Empathic way of life, as well as their own. A secret that legends have foretold.

Cap hasn't come to see Kendra for over 6 months. He's a helijet pilot, so a quick jaunt from the capital city to the far side of Treborel wouldn't be that difficult. He knew Kendra couldn't travel. Her teaching position at the Empathic Institute required her to live deep in the mountain wilderness.

As the heat of summer ends, Kendra prepares to take a group of students to the Northern Mountains and the Empathic Wilderness Survival Center. Cap suddenly appears ready to make the 2-week trek on horseback through the mountains with them under the pretense of recovering a lost helijet.

Once deep within the mountains they notice an unusual migration of the forest creatures. They are leaving the mountains and heading toward the lowlands. Even the giant sraeb are leaving. Something is terribly wrong. Frenzy is near. A time when the sreab become crazed with hunger and devour every warm blooded creature in their path. If the sraeb turn to frenzy in the lowlands the farms and the empathic village would be destroyed. Lives would be lost. What could possibly be powerful enough to chase the sreab from their lair? How can they stop it?
