The kingdom of Leoma - though named for the light of God that shown constantly - had turned dark and dismal. It had been that way ever since the beloved Queen Leoma - named for the kingdom - had died in an ambush while she was heavily pregnant...taking the child with her. After that, King Simon had withdrawn with his son, Andrew. The late queen's brother, Lord Samson moved into the castle - becoming King Simon's top advisor and best friend. Despite the fact that the royal family despised it, slavery ran rampant; it was legal, but there were several heavy fines for those who sold or bought slaves in public. As a result, most slave holders traveled to other kingdoms, bringing their slaves back with them. Five years after the death of the queen, the only act of light King Simon did was to take in the fifteen year old daughter of one of his senior knights - Lady Aria. While she brought some light back to the kingdom, there was more to do to bring the kingdom back to its former glory. Little did anyone know it would come in the form of an unloved slave boy arriving in the kingdom with his master...
