Sir Joseph Banks (1743–1820) was a British botanist and one of the most influential scientific patrons of the eighteenth century. This volume, edited by fellow botanist Sir Joseph Hooker and first published in 1896, contains Banks' detailed account of the voyage of the Endeavour across the Pacific Ocean.
