Sailors Shoot Horse! Don't They?
Smokey Dafino
A narcotic infused, darkly comedic, often profane, politically incorrect collection of 1970s post-Vietnam sea stories and scuttlebutt written by a self-destructive sailor. He is a damaged man, both physically and mentally. His wiring is fried from a combination of years of boozing, doping, and the stress of being on the run from his criminal past. All he wants to do is finish out his remaining years on this earth sailing the high seas as a merchant marine but now it seems he's not going to be able to do even that. Both the cops and a dangerous outlaw motorcycle gang are back sniffing on his trail and it seems that time has finally run out for this burned out old salt.
