A response to ones initial environment is what brings about change and expression. In this case the response is an abundance of feel it real, raw to the core poetic expression from an Indigenous American Spoken Word Poet who may also be labeled as Black or African resulting in a strong and long look into the insperience and experience of a "Black Man" in America who was born in the 1960's and witnessed every socio-political, economic and cultural era since.
