We look at these amazing projects like condo's, skyscrapers and marvel at their construction, yes their 'construction' as they are being built from the ground up. And if you're like me you curse at them for screwing up traffic, but as time goes by and the projects become finalized we learn to appreciate the hard work that went into each one. Recovery is a project, you are constructing a new version of you. You are tearing down old ways and remodeling with new ways. It may not be pretty in the beginning but that's ok, you're a work in progress. Keep building and if you gotta go back and start over to get it right then that's what ya do!! This book is about my own recovery 'construction' job and the process that I had to learn to build my own life back up from rock bottom. The miles we walk in our own journey help prepare us for something amazing down the road.
