The History of Archaeological Research in the Melfese: a Bibliography from the Sites of Lavello, Melfi and Ripacandida (Bar International Series)

This book aims to bring together the published archaeological record for the Vulture-Melfese region of southern Italy. It contains a description of all archaeological activity in the region - focusing on the three sites of Lavello, Melfi and Ripacandida - as well as a bibliography of all published work. A concluding section looks at strengths and weaknesses of the existing research, emphasises the importance of the region archaeologically, particularly for Classical antiquity, and makes some suggestions for future research.
