Answering The Call is a true story of a young girl growing up in the South who loved God and who wanted to be shown love from her father who was domineering and who did not know how to express his love for her. It tells how her feelings of rejection and low self-esteem led her into relationships that were self-destructive. It also tells about family jealousy, suspicion of sexual abuse and when she was only eleven years old, being given a norcotic for menstral cramps by a family member. The reader will come to understand how easy it was, for the girl who became a woman, to be manipulated because she lacked love of self and how she develeped into a follower or "yes woman" rather than to stand up for herself. This book is self revealing about a past filled with criminal behavior, getting high, selling drugs, partying, traveling, casual sex that had become a way of life for over thirty years. The reader will follow my spiritual journey and the miracles that followed my recovery and how God transformed me into the person I am today.
