Virtue That Counts: Pursuing That Which Touches the Heart of God
Daniel O. Ogweno
I get inspired by the things happening around me. The book draws heavily from personal experiences and observations in the lives of people around me. This is why the book is heavily illustrated.' In VIRTUE THAT COUNTS, author Daniel O. Ogweno believes there is always the danger of 'popular judgment' passing for virtue, and 'the impulsive attention to the magnificent clouding the importance of the trivial.' VIRTUE THAT COUNTS shows 'the paradox of the magnificence in the insignificant, and the insignificance in the magnificent.' The author says Pursuing That Which Touches the Heart of God can easily be relegated by 'good reasoning.' Nevertheless, he notes that sometimes the right thing has to be done regardless of contradictions and paradoxes. In this case, good reasoning and apprehension may only serve to mitigate unwillingness to go the extra mile. Ogweno is motivated to write because he is alarmed at how many Christians display a thorough knowledge of doctrines, but do not translate these doctrines into practical everyday life. 'My writings are based on things that people can readily identify with. When I read and set the Scripture against these happenings, it is easy for my readers to see where theology and doctrine converge in order to bring out the practicality of Christianity.' About the Author: Daniel Owino Ogweno grew up in Kenya and now resides with his family in Skien, Norway. 'I write because it is a calling in my life. I have a burning desire and inspiration to share the insights that God gives me with mankind.' His next book is titled The Fundamentals of Balanced Christianity.
