Poetry of My Soul's Work: a Book Conceived in Anger and Self-hatred, Yet Birthed Through God's Love
Penne Earleeana Glory
Poetry of My Soul's Work is a unique poetry book, written originally as a personal journal, by a former victim of incest, sexual abuse and rape. It gives a 3-D perspective of how the author changed and transformed from a powerless victim, then a survivor, to a thriving voice against sexual abuse. It portrays the anger, rage, and self-hatred experienced, long after it occurred. This work of personal poetry is offered to help women realize they are not alone in what they did to survive. Sexual abuse encompasses shame because it is secretive and often the blame is placed on the victim, not the rapist. It provides a deeper understanding of the full spectrum of incest, sexual abuse and rape.
