Rose McDonald was a young Irish girl who had been imprisoned by the English Tribunal System and had been sent to the colonies to be sold as an indentured servant. She possessed only one dream and this is the dream that plagued mankind since the beginning of time, and it was her freedom. She contemplated various ways of escaping once she reached the new world, but in the end she married a complete stranger to gain what she perceived as her first step towards eventual freedom. In this new world of the English Colonies she experiences many adventures, but they were brought on by the turmoil within her own marriage.
