Contributor Bio: Lee, Sally Sally Lee is the author of numerous nonfiction books for readers from kindergarten through high school. Her interest in children s literature began at the University of Missouri where she received her degree in education. Her years of teaching gave her desire to help children learn. When she left the classroom to raise her own son and daughter, writing nonfiction became a way to continue educating children. Her favorite part of writing nonfiction is doing research. It reminds her of a treasure hunt, especially when it uncovers off-beat facts that nobody else knows. It also satisfies her own curiosity about the world. Sally and her husband live in Dallas, Texas, with their children and grandchildren nearby. Contributor Bio: Saunders-Smith, Gail Gail Saunders-Smith is an assistant education professor at Youngstown State University in Ohio. She is also an independent staff developer, writer, and editor. She presents nationally at conferences on literacy development and instruction and has written numerous articles, children's non-fiction books, and professional resources. Gail holds a B. S. and M. A. in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University and a M. S. in Administration and Supervision from Youngstown State University. She completed post-graduate work at The Ohio State University and earned a Ph. D. in curriculum and instruction from The University of Akron. Gail is a former classroom teacher, Reading Recovery Teacher Leader, and Reading/Language Arts K-12 Supervisor and Coordinator of State and Federal Programs for the Summit County ESC. Contributor Bio: Anthony, Carl Sferrazza Carl Sferrazza Anthony, the author of nine books, is considered the nation's expert on the subject of presidential wives and families. He has written extensively for publications, including the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, Vanity Fair, American Heritage, Smithsonian, and Town & Country, and also writes screenplays. He currently lives in Los Angeles.
