Lester the Lion Learns Fire Safety

"Lester the Lion Learns Fire Safety" is about a boy who was playing on a neighbor's property & stumbled onto a book of matches. Lester's unawareness of the dangers of playing with fire sparks up more then his curiosity. A flame scalded his thumb, from the pain & fear Lester dropped the lit match on the ground, accidentally setting the neighbor's farm on fire. Lester immediately runs and tells a grown up Mr. Owl who is the owner of the property. The fire fighters were located close by & saw the smoke and quickly arrived putting the fire out. No one got hurt. The property was saved. The fire chief explains to Lester that starting fires on purpose is a serious crime" and tells Lester "Curiosity got the cat." Lester promises to ask a grown up when he is curious & begins practicing safety procedures with his family This story is done all in rhyme (like a Dr. Seuss book) with wonderful illustrated characters. The ending story has safety steps & procedures for children to practice and learn.
