Family life has changed in America and new figures arise daily as role models to adopt humans as wayward children requiring eternal vigilance. The scripts supplied to people are vapid and insipid renditions of corporate art mass-produced by hacks whose only uniqueness is an unoriginal sin of theft of art; the good and bad of it is decided by the bottom-line of profit. This collection of stories contains different genres and characters, some of them inspired by Ganesha or Jonathan Swift; others prefer Raymond Chandler and Peter Benchley. How the characters inter-act with people who may be guided by different Muses to various states of light and darkness is a common theme. As with most relationships, there is discord and harmony and the world reflects human nature, though that is quickly becoming inextricably linked to machines.
