Jennifer Page, to get over a broken relationship, rents a house in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Unaware of its disturbing history, she falls under the spell of Casa Amelia, the former guest house of Richard Burton's house, owned now by Alberto Rivera, a successful sculptor. From the beginning, her dreams are being invaded by a young woman she comes to know as Amelia. The past events of Amelia's life begin to merge with Jenny's life as she is drawn into a web of intrigue she cannot escape. Regardless of her aversion towards her neighbor, she is forced to let him into her life and enter the course of events that are heading towards a fatal end. Together they must unravel the secrets of the past before it is too late for one, or both, of them.
