"While drilling for oil in Antarctica, a South African energy company uncovers what appears to be a spacecraft that is buried beneath approximately one kilometer of ice. Further examinations reveal that the spacecraft is occupied, and so begins a journey of discovery. The occupants of the spaceship take the three main characters (two men and one woman) on a journey through time to explain their presence on earth and the reason for their interventions.
With the help of alien technology, the threesome are shown events in the past (ancient Egypt five thousand years ago) that led to the present dilemma of ecological and social destruction.
A tribe from Africa is coaxed into an alliance with the ancient Egyptians, helping them build the first pyramid and unravelling one of history?s greatest mysteries. Through a chain of unforeseen events, this leads to unexpected results. The love of a young African tribesman for a girl enslaved by the Egyptians, and the hatred generated after her untimely death, and the calamitous events that derive from these actions are shown to be part of the present problems we face on earth.
The three, Ann, Jon, and Jason, keep on learning the skills of the aliens; learn how to transport themselves to any part of the globe without airplanes, automobiles, or other earthly mode of transport. They learn how to read minds and investigate further into the past how the problems with human nature started, twenty-seven thousand years ago.
