Firdevs's poetry book 'The Unfinished Journey' consists of 60 poems and 44 illustrations produced between 1977 and 2011. For the poet, life is a short journey, which could be enriched with an artistic experience depicted in the act of poetry writing over the years. Firdevs Dede is a visual artist and a qualified art teacher. Firdevs outlines her philosophical view attached to her visual art in the limited edition of artist's book entitled: 'From an Unknown Artist's Logbook' published in 1988. Firdevs explores life with the romantic love for art and human beings by using the surrealist imagery writing technique she has invented herself in her first novel entitled 'DREAM Foundation'. The poet outlines the essence of her artistic background and how her first novel came about with a comprehensive analysis of her writing style in her academic diary entitled: 'Reflections' produced between 2007 and 2011. Firdevs Dede is a specialist dyslexia tutor. Firdevs lives and works in London. In her forthcoming novel entitled: 'Dyslexia isn't an obstacle' Firdevs combines the fiction with the reality of a challenging life style of a dyslexic person.
