Memory Lapse

In the town of Charleston, Slater Vance has his life situated exactly as his wants it: his Private Investigation firm, Exposed Inc., is successful and keeps him knee-deep in other people's misfortunes; his love life is causal, no heavy entanglements - the only exception is Bennie, his crusty secretary. And when his brother, the Father, beseeches him to help a woman who'd lost her memory in an automobile accident, he can't refuse. For reasons he can't explain, Slater is confused by the mysterious woman with no memory. It seems the more he discovers about her, the less he actually knows. Things come to a head in a startling way when her husband comes to claim her. Slater knows first hand what evil lies in the hearts of men. But will he be able to save the mysterious woman before the evil destroys them all?
