Zephyr Wind from the West: the Keys to the Kingdom Series Book III 1st edition

Zephyr Wind from the West continues the story of Judith and Adrian D'Arcy, Thomas (who was once Brother Louis) and his wife, Gabrielle, Leon Fitzgerald and Lady Matilde, Miguel, Old Bric and all the other characters you met in the first two books. In this third novel, the story begins with Judith and Adrian living in a castle by the Marmara Sea. Judith longs to travel to Palestine to recover the scrolls she left with Micah, and she also desires to be reunited with her family in France. Adrian wants to stay there and become the castellan for Choniatas Nicetas, yet when troubling events occur, they discover they must leave their home and travel west. When Leon and Lady Matilde join their hands on their wedding day at Matilde's castle in Poitou, they are shocked by mercenaries who invade their peaceful day and bring horror, death and destruction into their lives. Reeling with grief and seething with anger, Leon seeks aid from Adrian, yet does not find it. They return to Poitou to discover that the captains King John has unloosed on the countryside are wrecking havoc, despair and terror for the common people. Old Bric, too, in the village near Orleans, suffers when the wild armies of the captains burn his village. All of them feel that this must be stopped, but how can they stop it? Thomas and Gabrielle live in Acre on her father's estate, yet they, too, face a troubling situation and find they must move to the island of Cyprus. Thinking they have found peace and contentment at last, their world is shaken by Gabrielle's disappearance. Thomas loses hope of ever finding her again, and the situation Gabrielle is forced to live is beyond her ability to cope. How can Thomas find her? How can she exist in the circumstances that are so foreign to her? Great wickedness goes unleashed and unhindered in the land, and the characters in this book must find something deep within them to stand against greed, hatred, and the lust for power and wealth. In each heart there arises a compelling conviction that they cannot do this on their own and that it must be stopped. This is an epic tale that will carry you from the windswept shores of the Marmara Sea to the lush orchards of Cyprus and to the green valleys of the Loire River in France, you will gain a deeper understanding of God's grace and love, and you will find the key to overcoming evil in your own world. Joy awaits. Love flows freely. Grace abounds. But the battle must be fought and won.
