Just One More Dog

As far back as she can remember, dogs have been woven tightly into the fabric of Annie's life. Now, transplanted from the familiar comforts of the Midwest to the rugged and breathtakingly beautiful high plains of New Mexico, to make her new life as doctor for a dusty little cowboy town, Annie is again surrounded by dogs. Unwilling to turn a blind eye to the many desperate and hopeless dogs who cross her path, she sets out to make her new little corner of the world a better place for them. But all is not sunshine and doggie kisses. As Annie learns the ropes and gathers new friends, she is beset by malevolent characters in sheep's clothing, and begins to doubt her ability to tell the difference.
