Moving Van Christmas

In December 2006 two back-to-back snowstorms blanketed the Denver metropolitan area, significantly affecting transportation of all types. Particularly hard hit were the residential areas outside the inner city where the streets were plowed poorly, if at all. This problem was exacerbated by the policy of not using chemicals and salt to melt the accumulating drifts. Moving Van Christmas is the true story of what happened when a mover was unable to load one family's furniture onto his truck until Christmas Eve and had to spend that night in the cab of his van. How a Stapleton family befriended him on Christmas morning makes this a poignant Christmas message for children ages four to seven. It is also a story for parents who wish to encourage their children to think of the holidays as a time of giving and not just receiving.
