Bringing Down The Veil We have reached the penultimate climactic episode between Jake and Phillip. "There's a pounding on my door. If I were to be thinking more clearly than I am, I might have just stayed in my room and let the person at the door knock until their knuckles bled, but I'm too tired of this life I've built to not pray for a lifeline, so I get up. Maybe "pray" is the wrong word for it, but I don't think that hope is any more accurate a term." At his lowest point, Jake finally allows someone, namely his uncle to help him, albeit reluctantly; due to respect, and not having the mental agility to argue with him. Once again, he is whisked back to the cabin where it all started, afraid to face Phillip, and deal with his feelings. Things don't work out quite as Jake envisioned, and take a sudden turn for the worst, stripping him of all his defenses. How will he cope when everything seems to be crashing down around him? An entertaining book on its own. However, this is the fourth book in a series, and should be read after reading part one, two and three of the series.
