Melissa Thompson receives an unexpected promotion as assistant to her high-powered boss, George Paris. George is a mean man, or so everyone thinks. The stress of his imports business requires relief in unusual ways at the office. Melissa's home life is marred by her jealousy. Her husband Devin is a handsome principal at the high school and one of the married assistants is hot for him. No matter how much her husband tells her he has no interest in the woman, Melissa seethes with anger and jealousy. In her new position, she enters George's office one day to find the handsome man relieving his stress. Embarrassed, but stern, her boss offers her a transfer if she finds the situation uncomfortable. She swallows her surprise and takes his personal habits into her confidence. Knowing a relationship can't happen as both of them are married, she approaches her duties with flexibility. But she is consumed by the image of George as she caught him and she can't remove it from her mind. She finds she can't resist the urge to be a helpful assistant.
