Eugene A. Melino and associates present the sixth issue of Contemporary Ghazals--the world's first English-language journal dedicated to the classical style of Asian poetry that lends it its title. No. 6 features ghazals by Jeffrey P. Beck, Elizabeth Bodien, Chelsey Burden, Fern G. Z. Carr, John Philip Drury, Leland Jamieson, Alleliah Nuguid, Hal O'Leary, Emma Tejada, Donald Wilson, Jim Wilson and Melino himself. The 'Classic Revisited' section features an adaptation of an 1891 translation of Hafez by H. Wilberforce Clarke. Print copies of Contemporary Ghazals Nos. 1 and 2 are still available from founder R. W. Watkins. Mr Watkins intends on launching a new journal dedicated to traditional Eastern verse forms sometime in 2016.
