Webster defines hope: "To desire with expectation of fulfillment." To hope is to anticipate. It is more than dreaming however. It also possesses within us an expectation that someday there will be the fulfillment of that desire. It will become reality. Hope always looks to the future. It is always on tiptoes. It keeps us going. It makes a dismal day bearable because it promises a bright tomorrow. Countless times I have used the word "hope" to express my desires. My life's experiences revealed to me my need for real hope because without hope something inside of us dies. I have come to discover in my life that God is our real hope and purpose in life and that is what gives our lives meaning. Some of my memories are not pleasant ones, but realistically, life is never one of continual bliss. I think it matters most how you enjoy the good times and survive the bad. It is a story about how God, in his overwhelming love and wisdom, can take even our greatest fears and deepest pain and work them together for our own good. I believe there have been unseen Angels watching over me. Is there really angelic activity in a near but unseen realm? Yes. I believe angels are active in our world today more than we realize.
