Strange things begin to happen when Kate Creighton's retirement party for her husband Harry, coincides with the neighbors' early return from their summer archeological dig in Egypt. Kate witnesses a heated discussion between the husband and a suspicious man getting into a black limo. She senses a peculiar change in her neighbors when they briefly attend the party, and confides her concern to her zany friend, Candace. An argument, a suspicious letter, and a surprise confession confound, yet draw them in deeper. Ignoring Harry's advice not to get involved, they take off for Las Vegas in search of answers, but innocently get caught in a web of lies.
