On The Edge of Fire

The year is 2077; this is the world of Renee Mason, who has met with her partner, Jim Lawson to investigate a major crime; however, something goes horribly wrong. Jim Lawson is killed at the scene, in a fiery death and the young detective is faced with task of investigating the crime, as well as, coming to terms with the emotional impact of Jim's death. However, what seemed to be a simple act of violence has become a much more embroiled plot that first realized; teamed with her new partner, Xavier Alvarez, the two must uncover those responsible and thwart the havoc that will ensue as if they are successful. But Renee and Xavier cannot see the situation from the same perspective. Is this a case of homicide or is it slowing evolving into a mission of personal vengeance?
