Decaf & Drones
Sarah David
Returning to her hometown of Eagle River, Wisconsin, Jordan Nimsby admits she may never achieve her dream of becoming a private investigator. That is, until an unmanned drone sends a bomb into a local business. Barista-by-day and detective-by-night, Jordy tags along with her long-lost BFF Samantha Orwitz, who is now lead detective with the local P. D. The women follow the leads, and a series of bombings, around the Northwoods, trailing a herd of quirky suspects. They connect a few scattered clues, leading them to a mysterious name, the Vietnam War and an anti-government blogger with a sordid past. As if the case wasn't tough enough, Jordy's high school crush, Keith Leparth, has popped back into the picture, diverting her focus. Finally reaching a showdown with the bomber, Jordy and Sam need to unveil the perp's motive without getting blown to bits themselves.
