"If bravery means facing change with some fear, and courage is doing the right thing regardless of the consequences, " says author Marge Cox, "then this book is a little bit of both." Her research and years of personal observation, interviews, work with women victims of abuse, have resulted in her first book, Equality Outside the Box. It is Cox's contention that for too long religious leaders have misinterpreted God's Word and presented Biblical sources as the authority on male dominance over women, in the church and outside as well. The book is intended to encourage women to re-examine their position, to gain insight and strength from a closer inspection of God's own assessment of woman's worth.
