Though her intimate feelings for Janet were definitely gone, Lena still couldn't help but to feel disappointed that Janet had descended into a world of illicit drug use. Back when the two of them had been an item, Janet's drinking had been the center of an argument or ten, and once or twice, she could've sworn she'd smelled marijuana on Janet's clothing, but never had Lena ever thought that Janet would be snorting powder. She wondered if Janet's drug use consisted of any other illicit products, such as intravenous narcotics. She shuddered at the thought and shook it from her mind as she boldly approached the door of room 124.
Lena could hear the R & B music playing behind the door of the motel room, but it wasn't completely drowning out the muffled sounds of moans and cries of sexual pleasure from the three women inside the room. Lena could recognize Janet's voice as Janet cried out loudly.
