And not just in the internet. Well, the hardcopy is there for posterity and availability. Not all use the internet. Sometimes, internet has problems. I publish or reprint free of charge under POD system (Print-On-Demand). Print is always available and for all eternity, unless the owner or author chooses to halt its publication.
