A Second Chance

"A Second Chance" highlights an exceptional painting by the Italian artist, Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio. Featured is his painting called "The Raising of Lazarus." That miracle is considered to be the final and seventh major miracle of Jesus' tenure on earth. In the book other artists whose efforts beautifully imaged Jesus' other six major miracles are featured. Also explored is the relationship of Lazarus' sisters, Mary and Martha. Each reacted to their brother's death and resurrection in different ways. The book concludes with eight amazing paintings that mark significant times in biblical history and in the life of Caravaggio.
