Separated identical twins begin whispering to their unknowing counterparts. An ocean salvaging sculptor along with her new acquaintance, a dock worker, and poet, unknowingly embark on an impossible task. Unknown to Leanna Moonth, as she dives and sculpts, she has an identical twin trying to reach her. Her twin is kept isolated in an experimental village in the middle of a vast wilderness. Through impulsive tactile orgies, the villagers enable one another to cross the overlap and whisper mentally to their unknowing twins. Enraged by the tenuous connection, Leanna's twin decides secretly to violate the taboos of the mental crossing while keeping a misleading diary. Violating the forbidden elements while reaching across has an unexpected effect that could block the connection and worse. Leanna's twin tries to convince the identical twin of Leanna's lover to make a forbidden crossing together. Attempts to mend an infestation that's blocking access, find no conceivable repair. With mounting anxiety between unknowing twins, diving, and writing provides the only hope and clue on a blindfolded journey.
